We use the following guideline from our experience and to the best of our knowledge with the assurance that all products are being taken care of in the best conditions - like cold freight and storage - and intention like no other. ![]() Many breweries stamp their beers with only a bottled/canned on date, no date at all or a best before date according to US state law. All beers are stored in our refrigerated warehouse. 90% of the beers come straight from the brewery and are shipped cold. Now that the year as a whole numbers can be looked at it turns out that post was the NUMBER 1 post by Clown Shoes the whole year.We provide a best before date for almost all beers as this is mandatory. If I had to guess 60% got the joke, 35% were BIG MAD (seriously props to Megan for handling that with a champ while being hilarious and apologetic after joke was revealed), and 5% actually liked the new design (Didn't hurt my feelings because I designed it and while it wasn't "Clown Shoes" I also think it turned out nice). What if we did an early April fools style post where we said "We received feedback that our labels are too busy, so we fired our artist and have pivoted to a more minimalist style." So I then went and designed what a minimalist/elegant Space Cake label would look like. So working with the badass Director of Digital Strategy for Mass Bay Brewing, Megan Wilson, I came up with a silly idea. In my opinion we were doing too many "lifestyle" posts with people that looked odd holding our crazy illustrated cans and honestly they just weren't doing numbers.
